The scanning device is setup to solely enable your team to scan and redeem vouchers. It is locked to our Redeam app so your agents will not be able to access any other apps or programs. Once in the app, there are a few features that we have included to help your agents quickly check previous scans and then get back to the scanning screen so they can redeem new passes. 


Once you've logged in, you will be immediately directed to the Home Screen. Here you will find everything you need to scan and check the activity on the tablet. You can select the icons located in the center of the screen. If you accidentally select an icon, you can always navigate using the icons in the navigation bar on the top of the screen. 


Your device is connected to 4G LG Data, so you do not need to worry about connecting it to wifi. You can always check the signal strength and battery life in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Additionally, you will see the agent, or Operator ID in the upper left-hand corner. This is especially helpful if you have multiple agents, with separate operator ID's, and need to know who is logged into the tablet before you scan. 



The main functions of the device are to:

  • Scan Tickets
  • Check tablet History
  • Search previous scans
  • Pull up the last scan

Below you can find the intended use of each of these functions.


Scan Tickets

A camera screen will display, so you can scan the ticket/voucher. For more details on how to ticket scanning works, click here.


Tablet History

The tablet history will show you a comprehensive overview of the activity on the tablet, including valid and invalid scan attempts. This history does not reset when you log out or turn off the tablet, instead it will remain visible for subsequent logins, even under different operator ID's. 


Search

The search feature allows you to search successful scans by the customer name or ticket/voucher number. Please note that customers must present their passes to you for scanning, or at least be able to pull up the pass number on their phone. You will not be able to use the search feature to lookup their booking. Instead, this is only used to check for previous scans.  

  • Tap on the "Search" field at the top of the screen and then enter the customer name or pass number with the keyboard that populates. 


Last Scan Quick Reference

In some cases, you may need to quickly reference the last scan that was made on the tablet. This can be especially helpful when you're scanning a lot of passes at once for a big party, or if you encounter and error when scanning, and need to reference what the error message was to properly handle the voucher. 

  • After you've scanned at least one voucher on your shift, you will see a new "turn back time" icon populate in the lower right-hand corner

  • Click on this icon and the tablet will display the most recent scanning attempt's response
